Welcome to Cocktail Hour

Cocktail hour started many years ago when we were fortunate enough to be on holiday with our children in Florida. Around 5 o’clock we would convene in the living room of my in-laws condominium at “boca del vista” and eat chips, cheese and crackers and have a drink. My kids were adults and my grandchildren were little and they would ask their grandfather “zaida” to slice them thin slices of cheddar cheese and put them on “zaida’s crackers” aka Ritz crackers- the originals. They would have chips and pretzels along with water, or milk or juice.

The only worry I had was if they went to school and described their holidays, how cocktail hour might be interpreted by the teachers.

That tradition is one that continues when we are on holidays, at home on Friday night family dinners, and with my girlfriends at home or away.

Cocktail hour is the time we share our joys, sorrows, and everything in between. Having people who care about you and you them is the greatest gift anyone can have and schmoozing over a drink is even better.

Let me invite you to cocktail hour where I can share my recipes for some delicious drinks I have perfected, if I do say so myself and share myself with you and hopefully you with me as we create a community and Feel Better.

This is my latest cocktail recipe. Please let me know what you think.
